Launched in 1955 the MGA was powered by a 1500cc version of the B-series engine mated to a four-speed gearbox, combined with a chassis that offered predictable, sure-footed handling. Met with great enthusiasm from the public and motoring press alike the car proved equally successful in competition, performing well in various rallies and circuit races around the world. This particular Australian built example was dispatched from the KD department in the UK to Australia on the 11th July 1958. The car was assembled by Pressed Metal Corporation in Enfield in early 1959 and sold new to a Victorian customer on the 13th March. In excellent condition inside and out and finished in white with red interior the car comes with a large invoice file stretching back to the 70’s, MGA workshop manual, fold down roof with windows and tonneau cover. The original wheels are also included. The original matching number engine is mechanically sound and the car drives exceptionally well, the body and interior both present very well and the car is structurally sound with no apparent rust. An icon that will bring a smile to your face, any test welcome.
