Online Store Returns
For online store purchases excluding motor vehicle sales which are covered under the Motor Car Traders Act 1986. Guthry’s Garage anticipates that your purchase will meet your expectations of quality, function and design. If however in the unfortunate situation where you may require an exchange, you must present proof of purchase.
You can choose an exchange or refund if the item you purchased has a major problem, such as if the item:
- Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
- Is unsafe
- Is significantly different from the sample or description
- Doesn't do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can't be easily fixed
Guthry’s Garage may offer to repair or exchange if the problem is not major. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time, you can choose a refund or replacement item.
Guthry’s Garage are not obliged to provide an exchange or refund, if you simply change your mind about your purchase.
Consumer guarantees do not apply if you:
- Misused a product in any way that caused the problem
- Got what you asked for but changed your mind or saw it cheaper elsewhere
- Knew of or were made aware of the faults before you bought the product
- Bought a one-off item from a private seller
- Plan to on-sell or change the product so that you can re-supply it as a business.
If an Exchange or Refund is required
- Provide a replacement that is identical or of similar value
- Repair the product within a reasonable time
- Give a refund
Some products need to be assessed. We may need to assess your product to determine whether a repair, replacement or refund is appropriate. Some products may need to be sent to our manufacturer or their repair agent for assessment. Misuse of a product is not covered under these warranty terms and repair/freight costs may be forwarded to the customer if appropriate.
Returns
If you need to return your item it must be in original as-new condition with tags, packaging, and proof of purchase.
We reserve the right to refuse items that do not meet these conditions and your return may be declined and sent back to you.
Guthry’s Garage are not obliged to provide an exchange or refund if you simply change your mind about your purchase.
