Stunning 2 owner, very low kilometre, Australian delivered, matching numbers example. Sold new by Brysons South Melbourne to a surgeon in 1972 and purchased in 1983 by the second owner who subsequently placed it on permanent display within his private collection. Even though the car has only travelled 25,443 miles both owners kept up regular servicing and the car comes with 3 separate stamped service books, invoice file, all owner manuals, tool kits, assorted books and heritage certificate. The car was invited to a number of events throughout its lifetime including the Melbourne Grand Prix and has been personally signed by a number of luminaries including: Sir Stirling Moss on the steering wheel, Norman Dewis, Alan Jones, Ron Gaudion and Raymond Beach inside the arm rest. Finished in white with dark blue leather interior this example was optioned with wire wheels, power steering and air conditioning. Built on the longer wheelbase the series 3 E-Type had a much more purposeful stance with flared wheel arches, wider tyres, quad exhaust and distinctive larger cross-slatted front grille. Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever built, an inspection will not disappoint, any test welcome.
